Alfredo Simon just became the first pitcher in the NL to reach 12 wins. Another spectacular effort of 6.2 innings allowing just 1 run on 4 hits with 8 strikeouts. With 3 pitchers on the NL All-Star squad scheduled to start on Sunday, Simon is likely to to be named as a replacement. He should be on the team already. He's one of the reasons the Reds are now just 2.5 games out of first place in the Central. So the Reds should trade him, right?
The thought has been floated by many, but is it realistic? Is he expendable? How much can you get for him? The Reds have no one else (trade-bait) on the current roster with great worth. This is an extremely unhealthy team that needs some depth on the bench down the stretch.
So you tell me? Are you willing to float the NL wins leader in a mid-season trade?
