Potters Team Up to Fight Childhood Hunger in Our Community

Updated: Monday, November 4 2013, 10:08 PM EST
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The 15th Annual Empty Bowls presented by the Clay Alliance will take place on Sunday November 3 at the Bell Event Centre. The event features hundreds of ceramic bowls handmade by potters from the Clay Alliance, a soup lunch, live entertainment, and pottery demonstrations. Lunch seating times are 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $23 for adults and $6 for children. Each adult ticket also includes a handmade bowl to take home. Proceeds from the event benefit the Freestore Foodbank’s Kids Cafe program, which provides after-school meals to children in need. Last year’s Empty Bowls event raised more than $23,000, the equivalent of nearly 70,000 meals.
Tickets are available online at or in person at FUNKe Fired Arts (3130 Wasson Road, Hyde Park) or Whistle Stop Clay Works (119 Harrison Street, Loveland). Potters Team Up to Fight Childhood Hunger in Our Community
