Students Donate Hair for Cancer Patients

Updated: Tuesday, October 1 2013, 04:46 PM EDT
EAST WALNUT HILLS, Ohio (WKRC) -- Dozens of students at Saint Ursula Academy agreed to give up their long locks to help cancer patients.

The young ladies took part in the Pantene "Beautiful Lengths" program.

Each volunteer gave up at least eight inches of hair for use in wigs for cancer patients around the world.

20 hair dressers from across the tri-sate donated their time to cut the hair.

Two students headed up the project.  They developed the idea in a class on contemporary issues in women's health. Students Donate Hair for Cancer Patients
