High-calcium foods that can improve bone health

High-calcium foods like milk, yogurt, almonds and leafy greens can improve bone health. (WKRC)

FORT THOMAS, Ky. (WKRC) - There's new advice from experts at St. Elizabeth Healthcare on what to eat to have healthy bones.

Local 12 spent part of Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Fort Thomas doing a Facebook Live with the women's health team.

Dietitian Sheri Kanarek had advice on what foods you should eat to improve bone density:

  • Milk
  • Yogurt
  • Leafy greens like spinach and broccoli
  • Dried beans
  • White beans
  • Almonds

These are foods that are high in calcium. The team also addressed the use of supplements and bone density tests in the Facebook Live:
