Health Alert: Hydration May Help Stop Illness

CINCINNATI (Liz Bonis) -- We often think of it as a hot weather problem that you could get dehydrated, but in the cold this same thing can happen.

We stopped out at the Spice and Tea Exchange to tell you more about this.  Experts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that flu virus cells survive better when they are dehydrated.  So they recommend everyone gets fluids even in the cold.

You may want to drink something every three hours at least; water, tea, anything to help the body.  They found even cold viruses can thrive when you are dehydrated so keeping your hydration up may help you keep your immune system strong. Health Alert: Hydration May Help Stop Illness
