Massage May Help Reduce Hair Loss

Updated: Friday, August 9 2013, 10:54 AM EDT
It is back to school time and we thought we'd stop out at Crayons to Computers to share this research because if you have a favorite teacher or maybe even a mom that gets stressed out during back to school time, there’s something you might want to give to that person and believe it or not it could literally keep them from tearing their hair out or at least having it fall out according to this report.  We're here in Bond hill to share this research that a massage might actually help.

According to the archives of dermatology researchers found one study that compared identical twins that when you had more upsetting experiences daily stressed, you were much more likely to have your hair fall out and they compared these to or those to those who are not as stressed out.  It appears that this hormone we call cortisol, the same one that influences our waist weight and makes us feel all annoyed, that hormone cortisol goes up when were stressed out and apparently influences whether or not your hair falls out.  They found a massage, especially if it involves the head and the body was enough to bring that hormone down.  So if you're looking for something for that stressed out mom, stressed out teacher, a massage might work.

Just a reminder that Crayons to Computers gives things to teachers who need them, we say a special thank you to them as well.  That is our health alert in Bond Hill, Liz Bonis, Local 12 news.
