Oyler Opens Ohio's First In-School Dental Clinic

Updated: Monday, September 23 2013, 06:33 PM EDT
CINCINNATI (Tiffany Wilson) -- The first in-school dental clinic in Ohio is now open at a local school.

The Delta Dental Center at Oyler School will give nearly one thousand children, access to oral healthcare.  Local 12's Tiffany Wilson takes us inside the new clinic.

Saving smiles and providing quality care is the goal of the new Delta Dental Clinic.  It officially opened Monday but the staff started seeing students a couple of weeks ago.

In the first year the clinic hopes to see about 900 to 1300 students.

It took the collaboration of people from around the city to make the clinic possible.  The Cincinnati Dental Society's Oral Health Foundation paid to renovate the space that used to be a storage closet.

Delta Dental Foundation paid for all the equipment and Proctor and Gamble is providing free toothbrushes and tooth pastes to all the patients.
