Research Finds More Infants are Sleeping with Parents

Updated: Tuesday, October 1 2013, 06:23 PM EDT
NEW HAVEN, CT (WKRC) -- New research  says infants who sleep in the same bed as their parents jumped to about 13 percent since the early 90s.

Researchers at the Yale School of Medicine interviewed about 19,000 parents across the country and found the trend is especially rising among minorities.

Scientists say bed-sharing puts babies at a higher risk of sudden infant death syndrome, or SIDS.  Doctors recommend that babies share a room with their parents but not a bed. Research Finds More Infants are Sleeping with Parents
