Study links headaches and stress

Updated: Thursday, February 20 2014, 01:41 PM EST
CINCINNATI (Liz Bonis) -- A study released from the American Academy of Neurology says the stress in your life can be a real pain in the head.

We all know stress plays a role in our heath but this new study finds it can really give you a headache.

German researchers found the more stress you have in your life, the more migraine and tension headaches you can develop. They studied about 5-thousand people ages 21 to 71. Those in the study were asked about stress levels four times a year, for two years.

They found that stress contributes to more headaches, as well as accelerates the progression of headaches. They say it's important you find a way to if not avoid the stress, better manage or change your reaction to it.
