#AlzheimersStamp to be released on 11/30 to support research
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - There is now a simple way anyone can help support research for Alzheimer’s disease.
The Alzheimer’s postal stamp expected to be issued November 30th, just in time for mailing your holiday greeting cards.
The preview of the stamp was released on Thursday. It will be sold for $0.60.
The price includes the first class postage rate and funding for Alzheimer’s research.
The money will go to the National Institutes of Health, which funds Alzheimer’s research around the country.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, the disease is now what is being called the “Silver Tsunami.”
A person develops the disease every 66 seconds. It is now the sixth leading cause of death.
Research to find a cure is critical to turning the trend around.
