Free food delivery downtown if you order from select Findlay Market vendors
OVER-THE-RHINE, Ohio (WKRC) - Those late night deliveries of fast food can be a thing of the past.
Now you can get some fruits and vegetables delivered instead at “no charge.”
Some of the businesses at Findlay Market in Over-the-Rhine are now offering free delivery downtown with some foods that are really good for you.
Vendors like Madison’s at Findlay Market will bring an order to your office or home. They have foods such as super summer fruits and vegetables to everything else like organic foods and whole grain goods.
You can do this by ordering online, and if you live within the delivery zone, they are using a local bike service called “53T.”
They will deliver fruits, vegetables, bread, local goods and more on the same day.
If you are outside of the delivery zone, you can ask for drive by pick up where you pick it up on your way home or a lunch hour and they put it in bags for you ready to go when you order ahead.
The service is the latest to support locally grown foods, and of course compete with larger supermarkets that let you get delivery or drive by pick up.
It also is an effort to offer delivery of foods that are good for you to the downtown area, part of what's help with the downtown revitalization along with the new streetcar and area restaurants.
