Ovarian Cancer Awareness: T-Bird raffled to raise money
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A local cancer survivor has quite a love story to share; she's getting a great gift to help raise money for research.
Teal is the color to raise awareness of gynecological cancers. Now, a 1965 Thunderbird is teal thanks to a team of volunteers in the Tri-State, including many at Fairfield Volkswagen where it's parked in the showroom.
Andy Walter is giving up his dream car for his dream girl. His wife Debbie heads up the Tri-State chapter of the Ovarian Cancer Alliance. Debbie is a cancer survivor. She and her friend, Tracy Keith, were both battling ovarian cancer.
They know one thing, "The earlier it's diagnosed, the better your chances of survival," said Keith.
So teal T-Bird is being raffled off in just a few months. For just $20 you too can power up the cause.
Wednesday night February 8, and Friday, February 10, there are Teal Power Shootouts going on for girls. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

The car will be on display at several educational events in the Tri-State over the next few months where people can also buy a chance to win it.
