Is it okay to leave a sleeping baby home alone?
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (WPEC/WKRC) - Imagine you just put your baby down for a nap and that means you have about two hours to yourself. Would you leave your baby to pick something up at a nearby store?
A new mom posted a similar dilemma to the parenting website Mumsnet, and it sparked a big online debate involving thousands of parents. She asked if anyone would leave their 10-month-old baby sleeping at home for a roughly seven minute trip. She told Yahoo her baby "napped reliably at the same time every day for at least an hour."
Some people were more open to the idea than others depending on the circumstances. Some parents admitted they left their children to do chores in the garden or walk the dog, and didn't see a problem with it.
