Widowed mother finds comfort in rainbows captured during maternity shoot
SPARTA Wisc. (WKRC) - Kelly Luethe, a widowed mother of two who is pregnant with her third child, experienced an emotional photo shoot shortly after losing her husband.
Kelly was 18 weeks pregnant with their third child when her husband Jarrett was killed in a car accident on August 24.
When the Wisconsin woman had maternity photos taken, she and her photographer, Jessica Brandau, noticed rainbows and orbs showing up in each photograph.
"When I first noticed the rainbow during the shoot, I showed Kelly and immediately got goosebumps and teared up when she told me that they had experienced a miscarriage before becoming pregnant with baby Jarrett, making this their 'rainbow baby,'" Brandau told Today.com. "I do fully believe that Jarrett was giving Kelly and his babies a sign that he is still with them."
Brandau wrote in a Facebook post, "Kelly- I know that this season has been hard on you, but you are truly one of the strongest women that I know, and I fully believe that Jarrett is with you in spirit."
"I had been longing for a sign from Jarrett since the accident. I was really struggling with my faith because of it," Kelly told Today.com. "I feel Jarrett knew I needed this. He would have done anything for me while he was still alive and is proving he still will after he has passed."
The baby boy, who will be named Jarrett Jr., is due on January 25. A GoFundMe account has been set up to help Kelly with raising their three children.
