Scholarships funded by marijuana sending record amount of students to college
PUEBLO, Colo. (WKRC) - A marijuana-funded scholarship in Pueblo County, Colorado, is helping a record amount of students from the county go to college, KXRM reports.
The scholarship comes from taxes collected from marijuana sales, and the funding has even tripled since it started in 2015. The fund just raised $750,000.
Hundreds of students have received $2,000 for college thanks to the program.
