Local 12 will have a town hall event tonight to talk about the value of a college education.  Cost is always a huge factor. If you add up tuition and fees, and room and board, the bill can be staggering.

Which college is ranked as most expensive in America?
1. Harvard
2. Johns Hopkins
3. Sarah Lawrence

The answer is: 3. Sarah Lawrence

Yahoo Finance cites the chronicle of Higher Education's "Almanac of Higher Education." That says Sarah Lawrence College, a private liberal arts college in Bronxville, N.Y. ranks as the most expensive college in America. The study says tuition and room and board cost $61,236 in 2012-13. The website for CNN Money put the cost of Sarah Lawrence at $63,200 for this year.

The website, collegeboard.org, has the average figures for tuition and fees, and room and board. According to the College Board, the average cost of tuition and fees and room and board for the 2013-2014 school year was $40,917 at private colleges; $18,391 for state residents at public colleges; and $31,701 for out-of-state residents attending public universities.
