Artists uses anthills for art, catches heat online
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A viral video that shows an artist pouring molten aluminum into a fire ant colony is catching more heat than he expected.
YouTube user AnthillArt posted the above video to YouTube in November that shows molten aluminum being poured into the hill. As the video progresses, he digs up the hardened aluminum and shows off the results.
Weighing 17.9 lbs and as deep as 18 inches, the Anthill Art is beautiful. But it's also controversial.
The YouTube user said he had to disable the comments because he was "sick of people bickering" and he got tired of getting the comment "What if I poured aluminum in your house."
