1967- Jack Ruby dies in a Dallas, TX hospital.

1970- "I Me Mine," the last song the Beatles would record together, is recorded.

1984- A woman dies at Disneyland after falling from a ride.

1988- Margaret Thatcher becomes the longest-serving British Prime Minister in the 20th century.

2000- Charles M. Schulz's final original daily comic strip appears in newspapers.

2004- NASA's Spirit rover lands on Mars.  It was able to send black and white images back three hours after landing.
