On This Day in history:

1770- "The Boston Massacre" takes place when British troops fired on a crowd killing 5 people.

1922- "Annie Oakley" aka Phoebe Ann Moses, breaks all existing records for women's trap shooting.  She hit 98 out of 100 targets.

1973- Two starting pitchers on the same team announced they were trading lives.  Meaning they traded wives, kids, and dogs.  READ MORE HERE

1977- President Jimmy Carter appears on CBS News with Walter Cronkite for the first "Dial-a-President" radio talk show.
