1963- President Kennedy was assassinated while riding in a motorcade in Dallas, TX.

1968- The Beatles release their double album called, "The Beatles" also known as, "The White Album."

1984- Fred Rogers of PBS' "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood" presents a sweater to the Smithsonian Institution.

1986- Mike Tyson becomes the youngest to wear the world heavyweight-boxing crown.  He was 20 years and 4 months.

1990- British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher announced she would resign.

2005- Angela Merkel was elected as Germany's first female chancellor.

2005- Microsoft's XBOX 360 goes on sale.
