1917- The Bolsheviks, who were Communists, under Vladimir Ilyich Lenin take power in Russia.

1954- A U.S. cabinet meeting is televised for the first time.

1960- Mick Jagger and Keith Richards accidentally meet on a train.  They knew each other before that from school.

1964- The Rolling Stones make their first appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show."

1969- "Ummagumma" is released by Pink Floyd.

1995- The musical, "Victor/Victoria" opens.
