Real or Fake: Man in Texas claims to have killed Bigfoot
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- "Sasquatch Hunter" by trade, Rick Dyer claims to not only have found, but shot and killed the mythical 'Bigfoot' in September last year and has finally decided to upload the pictures of his big kill to show the world.
Mr. Dyer claims on his website (which has since been inaccessible) to have killed the creature in San Antonio, Texas, and used the irresistible lure of pork ribs nailed to a tree as bait.
He allegedly shot the 7'10" Sasquatch as it fed on the ribs and Dyer claims to have the body in his possession.
However, many are skeptical of Dyer's claims as he also announced in 2008 he killed the beast. Those claims turned out to be false as his friend was wearing a rubber ape suit. Which is the reason he says he delayed his posting so he could get further proof that his Bigfoot, which he named Hank, is the real deal.
Mr. Dyer told San Antonio television station KSAT-TV: "Every test that you can possibly imagine was performed on this body - from DNA tests to 3D-optical scans to body scans.
"It is the real deal. It's Bigfoot and Bigfoot's here, and I shot it and now I'm proving it to the world," Dyer said.
There will be a news conference held in the next few days. Mr. Dyer also intends to showcase his prize kill by taking Bigfoot on tour to show the public.
