VIRAL: Deaf football player can hear the fans after he ignored the critics
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Seattle Seahawks fullback Derrick Coleman is someone to cheer for.
The Duracell commercial, shown above, showcases Coleman, who is the first legally deaf offensive player to ever play in the NFL.
Coleman went undrafted in 2012 even though he had a great career at UCLA. He said, "I've been deaf since 3, so I didn't listen to [the critics]."
This season, he made the Seahawks squad and has been pivotal in their offense.
In his first game with the team, he had 3 catches for 30 yards, and he also caught a touchdown pass against the Saints in the Monday Night Football game on December 2nd.
