1907- Oklahoma is admitted as the 46th state.

1915- Coca-Cola has its prototype for a contoured bottle patented.

1952- In the Peanuts comic strip, Lucy first holds a football for Charlie Brown.

1999- Johnny Depp receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

2000- Bill Clinton becomes the first serving U.S. President to visit communist Vietnam.


1880- The first three British female graduates receive their Bachelor of Arts degrees from London University.

1980- John Lennon's album, "Double Fantasy," is released.

1990- A mass grave is discovered by the bridge over the River Kwai in Thailand.  The bodies were believed to be those of WWII prisoners of war.

1997- Metallica releases the album, "ReLoad."

1998- Jewel released, "Spirit."

1998- Whitney Houston releases, "My Love is Your Love."
