Charge Changed to Murder after Baby Dies

CRESCENT SPRINGS, Ky. (WKRC) -- A Crescent Springs man is now facing a wanton murder charge, since the infant he's accused of assaulting has died.

23-year-old Robert Schierer was in court today. He was arrested November 12. Police say the 3-month-old baby was in Schierer's care, when he stopped breathing. Emergency workers were called to the Horton Street home. The baby had been on life support at Children's Hospital. We're told the infant died Tuesday.

Schierer was out on bond on an assault charge. CRESCENT SPRINGS, Ky. (WKRC) -- A Crescent Springs man is now facing a
wanton murder charge, since the infant he's accused of assaulting has
died.

care, when he stopped breathing. Emergency workers were called to the
Horton Street home. The baby had been on life support at Children's
Hospital. We're told the infant died Tuesday.

Schierer was out on bond on an assault charge. A judge increased it today to $500,000. Schierer was taken back into custody.Charge Changed to Murder after Baby Dies
