Cyber Monday

Updated: Tuesday, December 3 2013, 11:11 AM EST
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Cyber Monday is the busiest day of the year for online shopping.

Early numbers indicate online shopping is up by more than 20 percent Monday compared with the same time last year.  Those same numbers suggest that nearly a third of all online shopping traffic was done by mobile devices like smartphones and tablets.

Coincidentally, tablets and smartphones also lead the pack in product searches.

An estimated 131 million people shopped over the internet, most around lunchtime.  And fed-ex says this cyber Monday will be its busiest shopping day ever.

However, spending in stores over the four-day holiday weekend is expected to drop by almost three percent.
