INDEPENDENCE, Ky. (WKRC) -- Five people were injured when a car and a pickup collided on Madison Pike in front of Simon Kenton High School early Wednesday morning. Some of the injuries are life-threatening.

Three victims were taken to the hospital by medical helicopters. An ambulance took a fourth victim to U.C. Medical Center. A fifth person was taken to the hospital to get checked out. Police say the victims are in their late teens and early 20s. They don't think any of them are students.
