UC Police investigate attempted robberies

Updated: Thursday, December 5 2013, 06:44 PM EST
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- UC police say they stopped one robbery and are investigating an attempted robbery early Thursday morning.

An officer saw what he thought was a robbery that was about to happen at about 3:45 a.m. on Warner Street. The officer saw a convicted felon that he believed was about to rob a drunk pedestrian. The officer stopped the man and found a concealed pellet gun. He was arrested.

At 4:20 a.m., an officer came across with a cut hand at University and Glendora Avenue. He told the officers he struggled with three people who tried to rob him. He says he was cut with a knife during the struggle. He was only to describe one of the attackers. He's a black man, 6' 3" and 215 pounds, possibly with a beard. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Recently, UC's president, the chief of UC Police and Cincinnati's police chief, asked for Hamilton County judges to help them reduce crime. Here's a link to that story. http://bit.ly/1cZuIOc
