Cincinnati Zoo curator of mammals talks about Fiona's first year
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - She's the baby hippo that's become a star the world over and now Fiona is getting ready to turn one year old. Her premature birth brought together a small army of people. They worked tirelessly as team Fiona. And one woman was there from the beginning. Christina Gorsuch, the curator of mammals at the Cincinnati Zoo, talks about getting Fiona past the first few months as the smallest Nile hippo born on record, working with Cincinnati Children's Hospital and how other zoos are contacting them for their own hippo birth plans.
