Doppler down: Key government sensor for Tri-State went offline

Key government sensor for Tri-State went offline (WKRC)

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A Local 12 investigation discovered issues with one of Ohio's most important early warning devices: The National Weather Service Doppler Radar at Wilmington.

The radar is key to keeping us safe by seeing in to storms and warning us before severe weather hits, but over the spring and summer the radar quit working several times.

Local 12's Duane Pohlman looked into the problems in his exclusive investigation.

Scott Dimmich's follow-up investigation can be read here.
