Bruce Willis movie "Reprisal" begins shooting in Cincinnati
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Bruce Willis is in town filming a new action movie in downtown Cincinnati.
Several movie fans crowded around Smale Riverfront Park Wednesday to catch a glimpse of Willis and others including Frank Grillo and Olivia Culpo.
Reprisal tells the story of Willis, who is a veteran and a bank manager, who suffers from PTSD. His character is tortured by not being able to stop a bank heist so he launches his own investigation.
The actors in the film said so far that they've enjoyed filming in Cincinnati.
"I keep asking my mom and dad about Cincinnati where I was born and it's been so long. It's been beautiful walking around, it's a homecoming of sorts," said actor Shepard Rose.
Culpo said she's enjoyed filming with Bruce Willis.
"As far as the cast goes, it's been so great working with Frank and Bruce today. It was my first day working with him. He knows exactly what wants to do and he does it so quickly," Culpo said.
Cincinnati is attractive for filming because of the architecture and riverfront. The state of Ohio also offers tax credits to filmmakers. The producer of the film, Randall Emmett, said he's shot other films in the city and plans to shoot more.
"Reprisal" will shoot in Cincinnati for two more weeks.
