Champions Baseball Academy reopens after flooding
CALIFORNIA, Ohio (WKRC) - Things are starting to get back to normal at a baseball training facility in California, Ohio.
Volunteers worked to get a foot of water out of Champions Baseball Academy after the recent flooding.
Now, fans are working overtime to help dry the place out.
The water is gone, but it's still a little damp, which is apparently just fine.
"One of our customers said that when he's outside, the balls get damp anyway and the grounds a little bit wet. And kids are running around outside as well," said Mike Bricker, GM of Champions Academy.
The general manager says they lost some paperwork and some baseballs are waterlogged, but otherwise, they're back in business.
