Driver suspected in hit-and-run that left boy dead in Covington pleads not guilty
COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) - The driver accused in the deadly hit-and-run that left a child dead in Covington pleaded not guilty Monday morning.
Police say Wells hit 6-year-old Eli Kindt on Friday in Latonia and drove off. Eli died at the scene.
Police were later able to catch up with Wells and arrest him at a nearby shopping center. Wells is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
A judge set bond at $10,000 during Wells' video arraignment.
