Father in court on charges he caused crash that killed son and left him to die
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The father accused of causing the crash that killed his son and then leaving him behind to die, appeared in court on Sept. 13. Adriel Holloway answered to charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and stopping after an accident.
Holloway was driving when his car went off the road and into a tree on Lincoln Avenue on August 1. His son, Ariyonte, 10, died from his injuries about six weeks later. According to court papers, the boy was not wearing a seatbelt. According to court papers, Holloway had smoked marijuana before the crash.
At times, Adriel Holloway appeared upset in court. He was shaking his head when the attorneys and the judge discussed the menacing charge he faced for allegedly threatening his mother during an argument they had because he'd only been to the hospital once to see his son.
His mother sat in the gallery of the courtroom. She's told Local 12 her son needs to be held accountable.
A judge ordered Holloway held on $236,000 bond.
