Franklin County SWAT team joins Pike County massacre investigation

PIKETON, Ohio (WKRC) - New information has emerged in the investigation into the Pike County massacre.

A SWAT team from Franklin County, Ohio was brought in on Saturday to help the Pike County Sheriff’s Office as it searched Flying W Farms on Camp Creek Road Southwest of Piketon.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it was related to the Pike County massacre.

A warrant was served to search for possible evidence.

Earlier in the day, a Local 12 News viewer sent in video that showed a long line of law enforcement vehicles in the area of 32 and Ohio 104 outside of Piketon.

A number of law enforcement agencies have converged on the area searching at least three different properties in the past few days.

Eight members of the Rhoden family were killed a little more than a year ago.

They were all shot execution-style in their homes. Many were asleep at the time.
