Green Township mother accused of keeping drugs in her home that could have killed her kids
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A Green Township mother is accused of leaving having dangerous drugs in her home with her three children. Stephanie Everman faces child endangering and drug charges.
Police say on June 3, Everman removed about two ounces of a mix of heroin, fentanyl and methamphetamines from her boyfriend's vehicle after his arrest on weapons charges. According to assistant prosecutor David Wood, the boyfriend had asked her to get the drugs out of the vehicle and bring them inside. She put the drugs in a bedroom closet.
Her three children were in the Jessup Road home when police searched it and found the drugs. Wood said the children could have died if they even touched the drugs, due to the fentanyl.
Police believe Everman knew her boyfriend was selling drugs and kept drugs at the home.
Everman cried during her arraignment. Her attorney said her children are with Everman's parents.
A judge set bond at $250,000. She is not to have any contact with the kids.
