Judge holds pre-trial hearing ahead of Tensing's second trial
CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Judge Leslie Ghiz is holding another pre-trial hearing Monday morning about a week and a half away from the start of the second trial for former UC police officer Ray Tensing.
Ghiz and the attorneys for both sides have to sort through about 1,000 potential juror responses.
The process began last week.
Tensing is charged with murder and voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of Sam DuBose in July of 2015.
Tensing claimed he feared for his life because DuBose tried to drive away during a traffic stop.
The jury in his first trial could not reach a verdict.
His second trial is scheduled to begin May 25.
