Jury finds Rico Mosley not guilty of killing Kelsie Crow
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A jury found Rico Mosley not guilty of shooting Kelsie Crow as she left a sweet sixteen party in Walnut Hills in 2015. Members of Crow's family broke down upon hearing the verdict.
Crow was caught in the crossfire of a gang feud while trying to leave the party. The prosecution said Mosley fired the shot that killed Kelsie. Mosley's attorney said there was no physical evidence to tie him to the crime.
Earlier on Monday, the jury wanted to listen to some of the evidence from the trial. They wanted to hear a 911 call and a jailhouse call.
One eyewitness said she saw Mosley fire his gun in the direction of Kelsie's car, trying to shoot a rival gang member.
A 911 call from OnStar has teenagers in a car describing the gunman. It matches Mosley's description. He told police he wasn't there however, he admitted he was there during a jail call to his grandma.
The jury deliberated about five hours.
