Local 12 to broadcast Reds Opening Day resulting in programming changes
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Local 12 is your home for Reds Opening Day on Friday.
The live coverage starts at 4:25 a.m. with Good Morning Cincinnati and includes pregame coverage live from Great American Ball Park starting at 3 p.m.
That's followed by the Reds vs. Nationals from first pitch at 4:10 p.m. until the last out.
The coverage will affect the daily television schedule on Local 12. Dr. Phil will be moved to CW Cincinnati at 3 p.m. For top stories plus your hour-by-hour forecast, watch Local 12 News on the CW Cincinnati beginning at 4 p.m. CBS Evening News With Jeff Glor will air at 6:30 p.m. on CW Cincinnati.
The CW Cincinnati is over-the-air on 12.2. On Spectrum Cable it's 20/989 and on Spectrum Cable Kentucky it's channel 25. For Cincinnati Bell Fioptics customers, tune to 17/517. And for those with DirecTv, you'll find programming on channel 25.
The Robert Irvine Show, two episodes of Lauren Lake's Paternity Court, back-to-back showings of Last Man Standing and then 2 Broke Girls that are normally aired on CW Cincinnati will not be broadcast on Friday.
Coverage of the Reds and festivities continues on Monday. Watch as Local 12 broadcasts from Fountain Square with the 16th Annual Rally on the Square at Noon. The 99th Findlay Market Parade kicks off on Local 12 with former Reds pitchers Danny Graves and Sam LeCure serving as parade Grand Marshals.
