Bicyclist killed in Hebron hit and run

Police confirmed a bicyclist has been killed in a hit-and-run accident in Hebron, Kentucky Saturday morning. (TR Gormley, WKRC)

HEBRON, Ky. (WKRC) - Police are investigating the death of a man who was hit while riding his bicycle in Hebron on Saturday morning.

Police said they received the call around 6:30 a.m. A driver notified them of an injured male lying in a grassy area next to the intersection of North Bend Road and Northside Drive.

Deputies arrived a short time later and found the man dead.

Their investigation revealed the man had been struck from the rear while riding his bicycle northbound on North Bend.

The man's name is being withheld until his family can be notified. He is described as a 48-year-old black man from Covington, Ky.

The investigation is being classified as a fatal hit and run due to the vehicle not stopping or reporting the incident.
