St. Xavier student killed in Ronald Reagan Hwy. crash

Medical helicopter took the driver to the hospital (WKRC)

MONTGOMERY, Ohio (WKRC) - A St. Xavier High School student was killed in an early morning crash Monday.

St. Xavier High School confirms it was 18-year-old Matthew Clark.

Clark was transported medical helicopter to U.C. Medical Center.

The accident shut down Ronald Reagan Highway (SR 126) near Montgomery Road just before 5 a.m. The car ended up off the road and into a wooded area.

Montgomery Police say Clark was trapped and had to be rescued from the car.

The school says grief teams will be at the school on Tuesday.

There is no word on what led up to the accident, and police say the investigation is ongoing.
