Mother of teen OD victim faces heroin charges
DAYTON, Ohio (WKRC) - The mother of a 13-year-old who overdosed on his father's drugs and died earlier this month near Dayton has been indicted on heroin charges, according to WHIO.
Denica Marie Stone is listed on the Montgomery County jail website. The 38-year-old is charged with possession of heroin from an incident that occurred on March 9.
13-year-old Nathan Wylie reportedly overdosed on his father's heroin on March 28.
The coroner says Nathan died on April 1 at Dayton Children's Hospital. He was brought to a fire station on South Broadway by his father, Robert Wylie, and a co-worker.
According to a police report, the co-worker told officers that the teen's father is a drug user and his son "got into his stuff."
Robert Wylie is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on $100,000 bail for drug charges.
