Police: 66-year-old dies days after Winton Hills crash
WINTON HILLS, Ohio (WKRC) - Police say the driver who pulled out onto Este Avenue from a driveway and caused a serious crash that badly injured another driver in Winton Hills has died as a result.
Police say Deontre Gaulden, 29, was driving north on Este Avenue at about 10:45 p.m. Sunday when 66-year-old William Willard failed to yield when pulling out on the street, near Center Hill.
Gaulden was not wearing a seatbelt. Police say he sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.
Willard was also not wearing a seatbelt. He suffered life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital and has since died as a result.
Police say impairment was a factor in the crash.
