Seven arrested for alleged involvement in large scale drug ring
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said seven people have been arrested in the bust of a large scale drug operation involving a Mexican drug cartel.
Agents from the organized crime division received information that some of the suspects would travel to Los Angeles to meet with members of the drug cartel to buy heroin, crystal methamphetamine and cocaine. They would then ship the drugs back to the Tri-State. Often, the shipments would be delivered to places in Hamilton and Butler counties, as well as Kentucky.
On February 7 and 8, search warrants were served. Investigators say they seized about $100,000 in criminal assets, 23 pounds of crystal meth, 9.3 pounds of heroin and fentanyl and 1,100 heroin/fentanyl pills disguised as oxycodone. The drugs in total were worth more than $1.6 million dollars on the street.
Twelve guns, some of them assault-type weapons, were also seized.
Arrested were Justin McElroy, Molly Manning, Robert Howard, Jeremy Schnur, Taylor Finley, Wesley Breen and Mario Adolfo Rosalles-Garcia.
