Shot Spotter alerts police of Walnut Hills shooting that left teen injured
WALNUT HILLS, Ohio (WKRC) - Shot Spotter alerted police to a shooting in Walnut Hills before anyone called 911 Tuesday night.
Cincinnati Police found shell casings on Essex Place at Mink Alley in Walnut Hills just before midnight.
Then a call came in about an 18-year-old female shot in the shoulder.
The woman was with her boyfriend when she was shot. The couple then fled the scene on Essex Place.
Police found them walking on the side of I-71 near Bethesda.
EMS crews took the victim to UC Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Her boyfriend was not injured.
Police have very little suspect information.
