Springdale man accused of getting illegal drug shipments from Hong Kong

Dominic Lindsey arrested for trafficking, possessing heroin, fentanyl and U-47700 (CPD)

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Cincinnati Police have arrested a Springdale man they say was receiving drug packages from Hong Kong. Dominic Lindsey is charged with drug trafficking and possession.

Police arrested Lindsey on March 30 during a traffic stop. That's when they say they found a pound of fetanyl, heroin and U-47700. U-47700 is a synthetic opioid, which police say is seven times stronger than morphine.

During their investigation, police say they learned Lindsey was getting the U-47700 from out of the country. The Regional Narcotics Unit, Federal Postal Inspectors and Homeland Security were conducting a separate investigation of Lindsey, where they say they intercepted one pound of the U-47700 from Hong Kong.

Police say the two pounds of drugs are worth an estimated $100,000. They expect more arrests.

In addition to the drug charges, police also say Lindsey also resisted arrest and gave police a false name. He's locked up on $225,000 bond.
