SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - A woman is dead after officers were called to two different shootings they believe are connected in Springfield Township Friday night.

Officers were called to the 9000 block of Tag Drive for a report of a person shot around 10 p.m. Friday. They found 21-year-old Kenesha Moore of Fairfield dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

The shooting happened inside the home of Juanita Madaris.

Madaris said she heard a knock at the door and went to answer it and the suspect came barging in.

“I opened the door, he grabbed the screen door an pushed me out of the way and shot her,” said Madaris.

The alleged shooter reportedly drove off.

According to Moore's family members, the shooter is her ex-boyfriend and had a restraining order filed against him in November.

“It’s still in my head, I didn’t sleep last night. I’ve been up since the day before yesterday,” said Madaris.

A short time after the shooting, the suspect's vehicle was found nearby.

The suspect was located on Ripplebrook Drive, armed with a handgun. When officers approached the suspect, he shot himself.

The suspect was transported to UC Medical Center where his condition is unknown.

The Springfield Township Police Department is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call them at 513-729-1300.
