Woman pleads guilty to hiring out developmentally disabled teen as prostitute
HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) - A woman will go to prison for hiring out a developmentally disabled teen girl as a prostitute.
On Monday a judge sentenced Ashley Embry to eight years in prison after she pleaded guilty to attempted human trafficking. Charges of compelling prostitution and promoting prostitution were dropped.
The prosecutor said Embry posted pictures of the girl on Backpage.com and had clients meet her at a motel in Springdale in October 2015.
She also allegedly forced the girl to take heroin and crack, and threatened to kill the victim and her family if she did not cooperate.
