DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - A man was found guilty of sexually abusing six sisters, including an 18-year-old who prosecutors said was "gifted to him."

According to court documents, Lee Kaplan was given the teen by her parents after he helped provide financial support to them.

The 52-year-old man fathered two children by one of the sisters.

Kaplan maintains his innocence.

The Associated Press reports jurors deliberated for five hours after closing arguments.

A neighbor's tip led authorities to search Kaplan's home.

There, they found the mother of 9 girls and her two grandchildren.

One of the grandchildren was fathered by Kaplan when one of the girls was 14.

In closing arguments, the deputy district attorney asserted Kaplan "brainwashed" the family by claiming he was a prophet.

Several of the victims testified they had sex with the 52-year-old man because they believed him to be their husband.

The mother testified she knew of the sexual activity between her young daughters and Kaplan but thought "it could be a good thing."
