Police: Man killed daughter-in-law with hammer for disrespecting him
SUISUN CITY, Calif. (KTXL / CNN Newsource / WKRC) - A California man was arrested for allegedly murdered his daughter-in-law because she disrespected him.
Police say Amarjit Singh, 63, attacked and killed his 29-year-old daughter-in-law with a hammer.
Suisun City Police Cheif Tim Mattos said, "The victim had major blunt force trauma to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene."
"Mr. Singh indicated there was an argument over him being upset at the victim for disrespecting him."
Chief Mattos says Singh and his wife live at the home where the murder took place with the victim, her husband and their two-year-old son.
A Punjabi translator had to come in to communicate with the family.
